Terms of Service
1. Estimates & quotes
Every estimate is free and itemized. The price holds for 30 days from the date issued. After that, material costs may have moved enough that we'll need to re-quote. Anything not listed in the written quote is not part of the project. Discovered conditions (rotted decking, hidden flashing damage uncovered after tear-off) are documented with photos and quoted in writing before any extra work begins; you approve them before they're billed.
2. Scheduling & access
We schedule based on weather, permit timeline, and material delivery — three things we don't fully control. We give a target start window when you sign and update you the day before. You agree to provide reasonable access to the roof, attic, electrical panel (for solar projects), and a 12-foot clearance around the perimeter for staging. Pets and vehicles need to be moved before crew arrival on day one.
3. Payment
Standard payment terms: 30% at material delivery, balance due at project completion. We do not accept "AOB" (Assignment of Benefits) on insurance jobs — Florida statute restricts AOB and we don't use it. On approved insurance claims, you remain the policyholder; we provide a Direction to Pay form for the carrier to send funds directly to us, or you forward the carrier check, your choice. Late payment incurs 1.5% per month interest on outstanding balance.
4. Warranty
Workmanship warranty: 25 years on residential roof installs, 20 years on commercial systems, 10 years on solar penetrations and roof tie-ins, 2 years on individual repair work. Manufacturer warranty on materials (shingles, panels, membrane) is separate and depends on the product line — we provide the registration paperwork at completion. If something we installed leaks, drifts, or fails in a non-storm event inside the warranty term, we come back and fix it, no charge.
5. Cancellation
You may cancel inside 3 business days of signing at no cost — Florida home-improvement law guarantees that right. After that, materials ordered specifically for your project are non-refundable, and any mobilization costs (permits pulled, crew scheduled) may be assessed. We do our best to keep cancellation fair on both sides. If we can't complete a project for reasons within our control (crew availability, our error), all deposits are refunded in full inside 7 business days.
6. Liability
We carry $2M general liability and worker's compensation on every crew on every job — paperwork available on request. Damage caused by our work or our crew is our responsibility; damage from pre-existing conditions, weather events during the project, or third parties is documented and addressed separately. Our maximum liability for any single claim is the total project amount; this is standard construction-contract language and matches Florida industry norms.
